Testing

How will I be tested on each course's material?

You will be tested from the comfort and privacy of your own computer, in an online, real-time format. As a distance learner and tester, you will log in to the Institute just as you would to take the courses, to study, and to self-test in preparation for the examination.

How much time am I given to take each examination?

Without exception, you will be allotted a maximum of 90 minutes per examination.

How are exams graded?

A team of Globecon Institute staff members will grade, audit, and certify all examination results. Please note that the objective portions of the test are graded separately, on their own merits, rather than on a curve.

What is a passing grade?

Each Globecon Institute examination requires at least 70% of all questions to be answered correctly. Globecon Institute will perform an audited re-grading of the exam for borderline cases (e.g. 69.99%). All certified results are considered final.

Will I be able to re-test if I do not pass a particular module?

Yes. If you do not receive a passing score, Globecon Institute allows you to re-test up to twice within six months.

Must I pass each topic within a module to qualify for certification?

Yes. By obtaining a Globecon Institute certification, you have demonstrated that you have gained a thorough understanding of the particular field of study. You must pass all portions of a Globecon Institute certification examination concurrently.

When and how will I be notified of exam results?

You will receive notification via email within 4 business days of completing your exam, as well as through the regular mail within two weeks of that date.

Will my employer be notified of my exam results?

Yes, but only upon your request. If you so choose, Globecon Institute will notify your employer of your exam results via email, regular mail, or both, depending on your preferences. You may also choose to keep your exam results completely confidential.
